ASIAN FRIENDS AND DATING
Everybody likes to go to a party and have real good
times with friends along. However, going to a party seemingly a
lot easier than to host one. To reunite a bunch of friends seems
in theory too easy, but in practice, many aspects must be taken
into account. In fact, more people will remember if the party was
a drag than if it were smashing, and because of that, many things
must be brought across before airing it.
Most of all, whoever hosts the party must know,
in practice, how many people would show up. Money talks, the main
issue in the maths of partygoers that is, and when money takes centrefold,
nobody fancies wasting it. Party roughly means two important things:
top-nosh galore and plenty of booze. How to go about calculating
how much of these two ingredients, if there is no way to find out
who will be in for the scraps or just feeling peckish? Of course,
nobody with head on shoulders would go to a party to satiated oneself,
not that we know of, by eating everything one could lay hands on.
That is a well-known etiquette. A party normally
demands subtle titbits as in canapés; otherwise, the party
would turn into banquette. It would be correct to calculate from
fifteen to eighteen canapés per guest, if this kind of food
is all that you will serve. In rare exceptions it won't work, but
the lack or the loss of food will always be minimal. If you calculate
food by the glutton fame of some of your friends - every party has
its own - it will be even easier.
When inviting many people, the first on the list
is what drinks should be on. As food, much as ever always takes
backseat, because beverages are consumed twice as much than chewable.
Herewith, more detailed issues, as who drinks beer? Who drinks whisky,
wine or else? Who does not drink alcohol at all? Who does not even
drink soft drinks, just spring water? A little survey by asking
friends about their customs would be quite helpful to prevent awkward
situations, like a non-comfortable and grouch guest. As for drinks,
the would-be- host may calculate from one up to three bottles of
600ml beer per guest, if that would be the only beverage served.
About wine, a bottle of good plonk may suffice to serve two guests
on a hard guess. As whisky is stronger than most other drinks, 10
people may drink up from a 1l bottle.
To make the ambiance as pleasant as possible to
everybody's liking, try to play different kinds of tunes. In so
doing, nobody will get bored and everybody will enjoy at most.
